A TOURISM HUB
IN THE SERRA GAúCHA.

Gramado reached an all-time high in 2023, welcoming an impressive 8 million visitors. This figure represents the highest record in the historical series since it began in 2018, showing an increase of 6% compared to 2022, when the city in the Serra Gaúcha received more than 7.5 million travelers, according to data from the city government.
With a population of 40,000 and located approximately two hours from the capital Porto Alegre, Gramado is especially popular during the July vacations, when temperatures drop, and during the Christmas period, when it hosts the country’s biggest Christmas event.

The arrival of the W Gramado Hotel & Residences consolidates the city as a tourism hub in the Serra Gaúcha. Two and a half hours away from attractions as incredible as they are distinctive. From the wine and food tourism of the Vale dos Vinhedos, home to Brazil’s most prized wines, to the canyons of the Aparados da Serra, with ecotourism, where we find the highest and most beautiful zip line in Latin America, among trails and other attractions. The city is 90 km from Bento Gonçalvez, home to the best wineries in the country. Gramado’s gastronomy is abundant and sophisticated at the same time, and is, of course, one of the reasons to visit the city. The annual agenda of nationally known events (such as the Film Festival and Natal Luz) and more than 60 theme parks is also another reason to visit the city.

It's just around !

Gramado’s Rua Coberta is the main stage for events that liven up the city and is therefore another important local tourist attraction. Its cafés and bistros share the scene with chocolate and craft stores, which make everything there even more beautiful.
The climate in Gramado is very similar to Europe, and not just in terms of the thermometer. The city’s cafés, parks and other attractions make travelers feel like they’re in Europe without leaving Brazil. The average maximum in January is 28º, while the average minimum in winter is 10º. However, there are both warmer and colder days than this average, which doesn’t really matter. After all, either way, you’ll be able to enjoy everything this charming city has to offer
These are some of the many reasons to visit the city and come back!
